Identification and Control of Coral Ardisia (Ardisia crenata): A Potentially Poisonous Plant. [PDF]

open access: yesEDIS, 2007
SS-AGR-276, a 2-page illustrated fact sheet by B. A. Sellers, K. A. Langeland, J. A. Ferrell, Michael Meisenberg, and J. Walter, describes this escaped ornamental plant also known as coral berry, spice berry, and scratchthroat, it's identification ...

Mesentery AjFGF4-AjFGFR2-ERK pathway modulates intestinal regeneration via targeting cell cycle in echinoderms. [PDF]

open access: yesCell Prolif, 2023
Mesentery served as the epicenter of intestinal regeneration to form a new intestine mainly via cell proliferation. Fibroblast growth factor 4 (AjFGF4) was found to regulate cell proliferation by specifically binding to AjFGFR2, and then triggered the conserved ERK–MAPK pathway but not JNK and p38 pathway.

Demographic history and gene flow in the peatmosses Sphagnum recurvum and Sphagnum flexuosum (Bryophyta: Sphagnaceae). [PDF]

open access: yesEcol Evol, 2022
This study has shown that there are multiple phases of gene flow between closely related peatmosses. Most of the gene flow occured in the past via secondary contact, the lesser extent of gene flow is currently ongoing between only sympatric populations.

Intra-amniotic mesenchymal stem cell therapy improves the amniotic fluid microenvironment in rat spina bifida aperta fetuses. [PDF]

open access: yesCell Prolif, 2023
In utero intra‐amniotic BMSC or PBS microinjection in the E15 fetuses was performed in E15 rat fetuses with spina bifida aperta, and amniotic fluid was collected at E21 for protein array detection. Venn diagram shows the relationship of three biological processes (GO: 0030335, 0048699, and 0043524) and the attribution of differentially expressed ...

Small molecule Z363 co-regulates TAF10 and MYC via the E3 ligase TRIP12 to suppress tumour growth. [PDF]

open access: yesClin Transl Med, 2023
Z363 exerts an anti‐cancer effect on cancer cell and xenograft models by co‐regulating TAF10 and MYC. TRIP12 plays an important role in Z363‐induced cancer cell apoptosis by directly and indirectly inhibiting MYC activity. Z363 promotes MYC ubiquitination by activating its phosphorylation.

NF-YC15 transcription factor activates ethylene biosynthesis and improves cassava disease resistance. [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Biotechnol J
Summary The nuclear factor Y (NF‐Y) transcription factors play important roles in plant development and physiological responses. However, the relationship between NF‐Y, plant hormone and plant stress resistance in tropical crops remains unclear. In this study, we identified MeNF‐YC15 gene in the NF‐Y family that significantly responded to Xanthomonas ...

ERF100 regulated by ERF28 and NOR controls pectate lyase 7, modulating fig (Ficus carica L.) fruit softening. [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Biotechnol J
Summary The mechanism regulating fruit textural changes has not been fully elucidated. Transcription factor FcERF100 showed rapid transcription repression during drastic texture loss in fig (Ficus carica L.) fruit ripening. Transient overexpression of FcERF100 delayed fig fruit softening and significantly decreased the transcript abundance of a key ...

The dual interplay of RAV5 in activating nitrate reductases and repressing catalase activity to improve disease resistance in cassava. [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Biotechnol J, 2021
Summary Cassava bacterial blight (CBB) caused by Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. manihotis (Xam) seriously affects cassava yield. Nitrate reductase (NR) plays an important role in plant nitrogen metabolism in plants. However, the in vivo role of NR and the corresponding signalling pathway remain unclear in cassava.

Atlas of Musculoskeletal Stem Cells with the Soft and Hard Tissue Differentiation Architecture. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh), 2020
This study presents a comprehensive genomics resource that reveals the transcriptome dynamics of the developing limb. Single‐cell transcriptional profiling with lineage tracing data demonstrates the identity and differentiation trajectory of musculoskeletal stem cells into soft and hard tissues. These results emphasize an indispensable role of limb Scx+

Identification and Control of Coral Ardisia (Ardisia crenata): A Potentially Poisonous Plant.

open access: yesEDIS, 2013
Coral ardisia, also known as coral berry, spice berry, and scratchthroat, was introduced to Florida in the early 1900′s for ornamental purposes. Since then, it has escaped cultivation, and it is found in hardwood hammocks and other moist, natural-wooded
