Fetal Liver Volume and Morphology in Growth‐Restricted Fetuses and Their Association With Neonatal Morbidity: An MRI Study

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Fetal growth restriction (FGR) may induce redistribution of the fetal circulation to preserve perfusion of vital organs. Reduced hepatic delivery of oxygen‐ and nutrient‐rich blood may cause volumetric and morphological remodeling.

The ImproveCareNow Registry: Prediction of different remission rates in pediatric ulcerative colitis

open access: yesJPGN Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives Identifying predictors of clinical remission in pediatric ulcerative colitis (UC) will impact the therapeutic approach. We aimed to predict time to first (TFR), corticosteroid‐free (TCSFR, ≥3 months corticosteroid withdrawal), and sustained remission (TSR, ≥6 months).

Prognostic Determinants of Overall Survival After Resection for Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma: A Consensus‐Based Conceptual Framework

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) carries a dismal prognosis despite surgical resection, yet the prognostic literature remains fragmented across hundreds of single‐institution studies that vary in design, covariates, and analytical approaches.

When Explant Surprises: Management and Outcomes of Hepatocellular Carcinoma Beyond Milan Criteria Discovered Post‐Transplant‐ A Narrative Review of Literature

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Liver transplantation (LT) is the definitive treatment for early hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), based on established criteria. Pre‐transplant imaging occasionally underestimates the tumor burden or biological aggressiveness, leading to explant pathology that exceeds the projection criteria, such as Milan.

Revision rates are similar after surgical treatment of acute chondral and osteochondral injuries following patellar dislocation: A multicentre cohort study

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Optimal treatment strategies for (osteo‐)chondral injuries following patellar dislocation remain unclear. This retrospective multicentre study aimed to compare outcomes between chondral and osteochondral lesions and to explore factors associated with revision surgery.

The 2026 ESSKA‐ESA formal consensus on partial‐thickness posterosuperior rotator cuff tears (Part 2): Treatment strategies, rehabilitation, return to sport and complications

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To establish evidence‐based consensus recommendations for the management of partial‐thickness posterosuperior rotator cuff tears (PT‐PS‐RCTs). This second part addresses treatment strategies, rehabilitation, return to sport and complications.

Multicentric development and validation of a fully automated artificial intelligence system for planning medial open wedge high tibial osteotomy on weight‐bearing anterior‐posterior long leg radiographs: The ISAKOS John Joyce Award 2025

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Preoperative planning, currently performed by orthopaedic surgeons (OS), is essential for successful osteotomy, but is labour‐intensive and error‐prone. As such, there is significant potential in the use of automated artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to augment the abilities of OS in managing lower extremity pathologies in a high‐

Cross‐Cohort Evidence Links KCNJ6 rs702859 to Impulsive–Compulsive Phenotypes in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Impulse control disorders (ICDs) and related compulsive behaviors (CBs) are frequent non‐motor complications of Parkinson's disease (PD) with a probable genetic contribution. Objective To investigate whether genetic variants involved in reward and punishment processing are associated with impulsive–compulsive phenotypes in PD ...

Discovery and characterisation of succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor resistance in Plenodomus biglobosus (phoma stem canker of oilseed rape)

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
SDHI resistance is reported and characterised for the first time in the oilseed rape phoma stem canker pathogen Plenodomus biglobosus (Leptosphaeria biglobosa). We investigate cross‐resistance patterns, associated SDH target‐site mutations, possible fitness costs, and consider the implications for disease and resistance management.
