Journal of Zoology, Volume 328, Issue 2, Page 203-209, February 2026.Reptiles in southern Africa's Kalahari desert occur at higher abundances and greater species richness under trees with sociable weaver colonies, than those without. This finding substantially expands our knowledge of how commonly reptile communities might respond to ecosystem engineers.
