Shape of Western Australian dragon lizards (Agamidae)

Amphibia-Reptilia, 2005
Abstract For 41 species of Western Australian agamid lizards, we found that most appendage lengths vary isometrically, so shape is largely independent of size. Of the three methods we used to quantitatively remove the effects of size on shape, the two that use principal component analysis (PCA; Jolicoeur, 1963 ...

Behavior Patterns of Three Species of Amphibolurus (Agamidae)

Copeia, 1970
The three species of the genus Amphibolurus (Agamidae) of Australia, A. barbatus, A. reticulatus inermis, and A. muricatus, are shown to have species-specific display-action-patterns as an expression of aggressive behavior. The displays involve postural changes, foreleg pushups and movements of the head, all of which are consistent in their time ...

The Amphibolurus barbatus species group (Lacertilia : Agamidae)

Australian Journal of Zoology, 1976
The subspecies A. barbatus barbatus as currently recognized comprises two distinct marginally sympatric morphs. Differences in external and skeletal morphology and the apparent absence of hybrids in the narrow zone of overlap imply that each morph is genetically distinct and not a particular phenotypic expression of one genotype. The low density of one

The complete mitochondrial genome of Leiolepis reevesii (Sauria, Agamidae)

Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2014
In this paper, we report the complete mitochondrial genome of Leiolepis reevesii (Sauria, Agamidae), which is a circular molecule of 16,908 bp in size and consists of 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNAs, 22 transfer RNAs and a control region. The A+T content of overall base composition of H-strand is 59.8% (T: 25.1%, C: 27.5%, A: 34.7%, G: 12.7%).

???????????????? Phrynocephalus rossikowi shammakowi (Reptilia, Agamidae)

2023
A description of caryotype of P. r. shamma-kowi (Central Karakum, Turkmenistan) is presented. Only 25 of 50 examined slices contain 48 acroccntric chromosomes, but the rest contain 46 acrocentric ones. The number of chromosomes is observed to vary on the slices of all 5 lizards examined (4 females and 1 male).
