KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

The Age-of-Information Distribution in Slotted ALOHA

open access: yesIEEE Access
Age-of-Information (AoI) is a new performance metric for critical networked cyber-physical systems (CPS), where performance depends on how quickly fresh data is received in update packets. When multiple users communicate these updates over a shared channel in a random access manner, packet losses can occur due to overlapping transmissions.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Risk for COVID-19 infection, hospitalization, and death by age group [PDF]

open access: yes
Updated July 19, 2021All rates are relative to the 18- to 29-year-old age category. This group was selected as the reference group because it has accounted for the largest cumulative number of COVID-19 cases compared to other age groups.

Age Standardized Rate ( ASR ) and Age Standardized Cancer Ratio ( ASCR ) of Nasopharyngeal Cancer in Kariadi Central Hospital during 2002 - 2011 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Background: Every year in all over the world, the incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma increases. In Indonesia, there was no accurate data. To get an accurate result, without using this standardization, it would be unclear if differing mortality rates ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...
