Aging Characteristics of GIS seal ring (O-ring)

2020 12th IEEE PES Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference (APPEEC), 2020
The properties of the rubber seal ring determine the gas-tightness of the GIS. Previous research used the compression set as an important mechanical property to evaluate the aging of vulcanized rubber, but it is hard to be applied on retired seal ring sample due to its inaccessible initial data and non-standard shape.

400-Year Record of Atmospheric Mercury from Tree-Rings in Northwestern Canada.

Environmental Science and Technology, 2018
Tree-rings are a promising high-resolution archive for gaseous atmospheric mercury (composed primarily of Hg0) reconstruction, but the influence of cambial age (ring number from pith) and tree-specific differences are uncertainties with potential ...

LSI aging estimation using ring oscillators

2015 20th IEEE European Test Symposium (ETS), 2015
Transistor aging occurs in nanoscale technologies and is one of the factors that degrade the performance of LSIs. This paper presents a method for estimating the amount of increment in the delay time of an LSI and a method for estimating the amount of increment in the threshold voltage per transistor from the changes in the period of two ring ...

Show ring age determination

The Bovine Practitioner, 1973
As long as there is competition involved in livestock shows, there will be the tendency among some breeders to attempt to bend the rules on age. This same holds true, and even more so, with performance tests and bull test stations today. As long as there is this determination among breeders to win, there will be a need for some method to determine ...

Age-Class Determination of Ring-Necked Ducks

The Journal of Wildlife Management, 1986
A quantitative technique was developed to distinguish adult from yearling ring-necked ducks (Aythya collaris) during the breeding season using wing feather criteria. This method requires removal and measurement of the 5th secondary (S 5) and 12th greater secondary covert (GSC 12).

Space Age Studies of Planetary Rings

2018
INTRODUCTION: THE ALLURE OF THE RINGED PLANETS One of the most enduring symbols of space exploration is a planet surrounded by a ring. This symbol inspires a celestial context: nothing on Earth is like it. It has been a wonderful surprise that the ringed planets are just as beautiful and scientifically compelling seen close up.

Aging Estimation of MOS FETs Using Aging‐Tolerant/Aged Ring Oscillators

IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2020
Transistor aging occurs in nanoscale LSIs and is a factor that degrades large scale integration (LSI) performance. Because aging decreases the switching speed of transistors, LSIs ultimately malfunction due to the increase in the propagation delay.
