Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

Enhancing Dehumidification in the Cable Room of a Ring Main Unit through CFD-EMAG Coupling Simulation and Experimental Verification

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The cable room, located at the base of the ring main unit, is prone to water vapor due to its proximity to damp cable holes and its relatively enclosed structure. This may penetrate internally and ultimately affect operational safety.

Agglomeration-Effects in Europe [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2000
The paper estimates agglomeration-effects for France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. Estimation takes into account endogeneity of the spatial distribution ofemployment and spatial fixed-effects. Empirical resultssuggest that agglomeration-effects in these Europeancountries are only slightly smaller than agglomeration-effects in the US: the ...

Thermodynamic Pathways of Nonequilibrium Solidification in Wire‐Arc Additive Manufacturing Fe‐Based Multicomponent Alloy Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

UPGRADING AND SURFACE COATING OF EGYPTIAN WHITE SAND WITH POLYMERS AND SILANES

open access: yesRudarsko-geološko-naftni Zbornik
Egypt is endowed with huge reserves of filler minerals, such as silica sand which form approximately 95% of the Earth's crust. The silica sand industry is used in many fields, such as pharmaceutical practices, chemicals, glass, ceramics, electronics, and

The Parabolic Variational Inequalities for Variably Saturated Water Flow in Heterogeneous Fracture Networks

open access: yesGeofluids, 2018
Fractures are ubiquitous in geological formations and have a substantial influence on water seepage flow in unsaturated fractured rocks. While the matrix permeability is small enough to be ignored during the partially saturated flow process, water ...

A New Algorithms of Stroke Generation Considering Geometric and Structural Properties of Road Network

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2019
Strokes are considered an elementary unit of road networks and have been widely used in their analysis and application. However, most conventional stroke generation methods are based solely on a fixed angle threshold, which ignores road networks’ ...

Thermophysical Properties of the Desulphurization Slags With Various CaS and CaO/Al2O3 Ratio

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article investigates how CaS content and the CaO/Al2O3 ratio influence the thermophysical properties of desulphurization slags. Using experimental measurements and thermodynamic simulations, this study reveals complex effects on viscosity, surface tension, and density, providing new insight into slag structure and phase behavior under ...
