Deciphering the full spectrum of Castleman diseases based on a cohort of 700 patients in a western country

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, Volume 208, Issue 6, Page 2036-2046, June 2026.
The spectrum of Castleman diseases has expanded over the past three decades. The phenotype of the diseases varies not only among the three major types but also according to the patient ancestry. Summary Under the Castleman disease (CD) eponym, three distinct diseases sharing common pathological features have been described over time.

Coupled Ionic‐Molecular Release Governed by Dissolution and Diffusion in Multicomponent Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology, Volume 23, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Multicomponent mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (MMBGs) were engineered to enable coupled ionic and molecular release for controlled ionic and molecular release applications. The nanoparticles (70SiO2–20CaO–4B2O3–3ZnO–3CuO, mol%) were synthesized via a microemulsion‐assisted sol–gel route, yielding spherical particles (∼560 nm) with ...

Frequency of islet autoantibody seropositivity among adults with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes in the Kazakh population: A cross‐sectional study

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, Volume 17, Issue 6, Page 970-978, June 2026.
Among adults with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes in Kazakhstan, 25.8% showed islet autoantibody positivity, indicating a substantial autoimmune component. ZnT8 and GADA were the most prevalent, supporting the importance of immunological assessment for accurate diabetes classification.

How Flexible Are Grammars Past Puberty? The Case of Relative Clauses in Turkish‐American Returnees

open access: yesLanguage Learning, Volume 76, Issue 2, Page 391-424, June 2026.
Abstract How flexible are grammars after puberty? To answer this, we test returnees: heritage speakers (HS) born in an immigration context who returned to their homeland in later years. If returnees are targetlike, then language is still malleable after puberty; in contrast, if maturational effects are in play, postpuberty returnees will show ...

MISS diversity from saline lakes of Brazilian Pantanal: Origin, potential of preservation and comparison with examples of the Ediacaran‐Cambrian shallow depositional settings

open access: yesSedimentology, Volume 73, Issue 4, Page 945-964, June 2026.
ABSTRACT One of the largest wetlands on Earth, the Brazilian Pantanal contains roughly 10 000 natural lakes, about 1000 of which are hypersaline. In these environmentally stressful settings, animal life struggles to survive, while cyanobacteria form extensive mats.

Transfusion‐related alpha‐gal syndrome: Two new cases expanding the demographic and geographic spectrum, and evidence of a diagnostic gap in allergic transfusion reaction evaluation

open access: yesTransfusion, Volume 66, Issue 6, Page 1167-1179, June 2026.
Abstract Background Transfusion‐related alpha‐gal syndrome (TRAGS) has recently been proposed as a cause of allergic transfusion reactions (ATRs) in which alpha‐gal‐specific IgE in sensitized group O (or potentially group A) recipients reacts with epitopes on group B or AB plasma‐containing components.
