A Direct Agglutination Test for Leishmaniasis

The American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, 1975
Antigen suspensions of enzyme-treated, formalin-fixed promastigotes of three species of Leishmania (L. donovani, L. tropica, and L. braziliensis) were evaluated by using the direct agglutination test with serum samples from healthy individuals and patients with confirmed cases of visceral and cutaneous leishmaniasis.

Agglutination test with ragweed pollen

Journal of Allergy, 1966
Abstract An agglutination test was devised to study ragweed pollen grains. Rabbit antiragweed sera were shown to contain "complete" antibodies causing clumping and increased sedimentation of ragweed pollen and "incomplete" antibodies detectable by means of the indirect Coombs test. With human sera, only the indirect Coombs test was positive. The human

Latex Agglutination Test in Uveitis

Archives of Ophthalmology, 1960
In 1922, Meyer 1 reported that the serums of certain patients with rheumatoid arthritis agglutinated sensitized sheep erythrocytes. In 1931, Cecil, Nicholls, and Stainsby 2 observed the agglutination of β-hemolytic streptococci by the serum of certain patients suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.

An evaluation of the tuberculosis agglutination test

British Journal of Diseases of the Chest, 1978
The tuberculosis agglutination titre as described by Nicholls (1975) was measured without prior knowledge of the diagnosis in 27 patients with open pulmonary tuberculosis, 100 patients with other diseases and 14 control patients with no apparent disease. Reproducibility of the test, as judged by repeat estimations on split samples, was poor.

A Babesiasis Card Agglutination Test

American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1974
SUMMARY A babesiasis card agglutination test (bct) has been developed for detecting specific antibodies in cattle infected with Babesia bigemina. The agglutinating antigen was isolated from the blood of a splenectomized calf having 22% B bigemina parasitemia. The antigen was preserved with 0.02% formalin and stained with fast green dye.

Chloroplast Agglutination Test

1998
The chloroplast agglutination test, used for diagnosis and detection of viruses, is simple but not very sensitive. It is most effective for viruses with elongate particles, such as tobamo-, carla- and potexviruses, which usually occur in high concentrations in the plant.

Simultaneous Agglutination Tests with Human Antiglobulins

Vox Sanguinis, 1969
Summary. Simultaneous agglutination tests have been performed with several non‐inhibitable antiglobulins and with several antiglobulins detected by screening with anti‐D Ri. coats. The latter are similar to non‐inhibitable antiglobdins in that they give a positive simultaneous agglutination test but their positive reaction can be inhibited by high ...

Latex-Agglutination Test in Shigellosis and Salmonellosis

The American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, 1965
Summary Similar antibody titers were detected by hemagglutination and latex-agglutination tests of sera and mucus from patients with shigellosis and from a patient infected with Salmonella enteritidis. These titers were higher than those detected by the agglutination test.
