GENERALIZED COMPOSITION OF BINARY AGGREGATION OPERATORS

International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 2005
We study a construction method for binary aggregation operators that generalizes the classical composition. Several examples are given, specially, in the class of aggregation operators with neutral element 1, e.g. semicopulas and copulas.

Determining Concrete Composition on Recycled Aggregates

Key Engineering Materials, 2016
The problem of recycling of construction wastes is important and at the same time difficult to deal with. One of the possible ways of using the construction wastes coming from the demolition of concrete constructions is to re-use them in the production of construction concretes as recycled concrete aggregates RCA.

Composition and Aggregate Real Wage Growth

American Economic Review, 2017
Aggregate real wages exhibit less procyclicality than most macroeconomic models predict. We use 35 years of Current Population Survey data to confirm that the puzzling behavior of wages largely owes to changes in the composition of the employed over the business cycle. This composition effect relates to changes in both the number and the relative wage

Aggregate composites: a contact based modeling

Computational Materials Science, 2005
A 3D model for elastic aggregate composites such as bituminous materials is presented. In this model, rigid angular particles are embedded into an elastic matrix; inter-particle contacts are modeled by a linear interface constitutive equation; Dirichlet tessellation and its dual Delaunay network are used to generate the particles and to connect them ...

Some Aspects of Aggregate Composition

Perspectives of New Music, 1976
Dear Milton, An accumulation of years, at once inevitable and momentous, traditionally becomes the occasion for congratulations of colleagues and friends-congratulations and appraisals. As the student in Faust I complains (and, in honor of the present occasion, I've disrupted the meter of the first line, as well as some internal rhyme, to read "sechzig"

Heavy Petroleum Composition. 3. Asphaltene Aggregation

Energy & Fuels, 2013
Molecular characterization of asphaltenes by conventional analytical techniques is a challenge because of their compositional complexity, high heteroatom content, and asphaltene aggregate formation at low concentrations. Thus, most common characterization techniques rely on bulk properties or solution-phase behavior (solubility). Proposed over 20 years

Timber-Lightweight Aggregate Composite Floor Structure

Materials Science Forum, 2012
Nowadays, composite structures based on wood are frequently used. In civil engineering, mostly timber-concrete composite structures are used, particularly in reconstruction of old timber girder floor structures or manufacture of new ones at the reconstruction of old buildings in areas exposed to frequent earthquakes. In new buildings it is mainly glued

Probabilistic QoS Aggregations for Service Composition

ACM Transactions on the Web, 2016
In this article, we propose a comprehensive approach for Quality of Service (QoS) calculation in service composition. Differing from the existing work on QoS aggregations that represent QoS as single values, discrete values with frequencies, or standard statistical distributions, the proposed approach has the capability to handle any type of QoS ...

Electroluminescence of polymer/J-aggregate composites

Applied Physics Letters, 1999
Efficient electroluminescence was revealed in single-layer light-emitting diodes based on electron-hole conducting polymers containing the nanocrystalline phase of cyanine dyes (J-aggregates). These species exhibit a very narrow emission band with a maximum in the red to infrared spectrum range.

Parallel Evaluation of Composite Aggregate Queries

2008 IEEE 24th International Conference on Data Engineering, 2008
Aggregate measures summarizing subsets of data are valuable in exploratory analysis and decision support, especially when dependent aggregations can be easily specified and computed. A novel class of queries, called composite subset measures, was previously introduced to allow correlated aggregate queries to be easily expressed.
