ABSTRACT Background Biallelic FIG4 variants classically cause distinct conditions characterized by peripheral neuropathy (Charcot‐Marie‐Tooth disease type 4J) or skeletal dysplasia (Yunis‐Varón syndrome). However, central nervous system involvement is increasingly recognized. The prevalence and specific characteristics of movement disorders within FIG4‐

Aggregating fuzzy implications to measure group consensus
We approach the problem of measuring consensus for a set of real inputs by aggregating the fuzzy implication degrees between each pair of inputs. We compare our operator with existing consensus measures in terms of their satisfaction of desirable ...

Automated Hand Flexor Tendon–Thickness Measurement in Systemic Sclerosis
Objective Systemic sclerosis (SSc) can affect flexor tendons, contributing to hand function problems and reduced quality of life. Tendon changes are currently assessed with ultrasonography and measured manually, a time‐consuming process prone to interobserver variability.

Sustainability assessment requires methodologies that appropriately distinguish between additive and non‐additive material properties. A toxicity‐weighted scoring system is developed and applied that accounts for the disproportionate influence of highly toxic constituents through nonlinear weighting functions, providing more realistic estimates than ...

To enhance through‐thickness conductivity without sacrificing impregnation, large spherical graphite particles are intentionally employed in a low‐viscosity resin. Unlike finer conductive fillers, these particles remain outside the fiber bundles and accumulate in resin‐rich interlaminar regions during molding.

Elastic–Plastic Modeling and Experimental Characterization of Granular Jamming Actuators
Granular jamming enables rapid switching between soft and rigid mechanical states. Here, a reduced‐order elastic‐perfectly‐plastic beam framework captures pressure‐dependent loading, unloading, residual deformation, and hysteresis in jammed beams, while matching three‐point bending experiments across materials and geometries. The framework links design

Electrodeposition in Structural Lattices of Variable Architectures
Electrodeposition enables geometry‐sensitive, autonomous void filling while simultaneously tuning chemical and mechanical properties. The development of approaches that can autonomously fill and heal material voids and yield composites with tailorable properties is increasingly relevant in engineering.

Technique for aggregating an energy service : U.S. Patent No. 8,818,889
Embodiments of a system, a method, and a computer-program product (e.g., Software) for aggregating an energy service from a number of participants for use by a power-system operator is described.
