On the nature of interactions associated with aggregation phenomena in the mouth

Journal of Dentistry, 1979
Abstract The evidence to support therole of acalcium-bridging mechanismin aggregation phenomena in the mouth is discussed in relation to additional evidence to the contrary. Other possible aggregating mechanisms are discussed and a hypothesis is presented to support the role of the hydrophobic interaction in these processes.

Aggregation Phenomena in Aqueous Solutions of Uncharged Star Polymers with a Porphyrin Core

, 2003
Uncharged star polymers having a porphyrin core and four poly(ethylene glycol)methyl ether (PEGME) arms have been synthesized and investigated (through the study of the structural and dynamical properties) as a function of the molecular mass of the arms,

Freeze-and-Thaw Phenomena in Concretes and Aggregates

1970
This report summarizes several years of research relating to damage to concrete and aggregates undergoing freezing and thawing. Basic principles involving freezing and attendant pressures are considered. Application of these principles to the evaluation of concrete was accomplished in experiments on concrete having low and high air contents.

A Discrete Model for Spatially Aggregating Phenomena

1986
Abstract The objective of the present paper is to numerically study the behavior of a solution of a mathematical model for spatially aggregating phenomena of population. For this purpose, we propose a discrete model, which preserves important properties of the continuous model with the aid of its nonlinear artificial viscosity term.

Aggregating Spatio-temporal Phenomena at Multiple Levels of Detail

2015
Spatio-temporal data are collected at high levels of detail (LoDs). Both spatial and temporal characteristics of data can be expressed at different LoDs. Depending on the phenomenon and the analytical goal, different LoDs can be suitable for a user’s analysis since different LoDs may provide different perceptions of a phenomenon. It is crucial to model

Sugar surfactants — aggregation, interfacial, and adsorption phenomena

Current Opinion in Colloid & Interface Science, 2001
The latest research work provides us with basic knowledge about some selected properties of systems containing sugar surfactants. Now we are able to understand the behavior of aqueous solutions reasonably well and very recently progress was made with respect to the properties of microemulsions.
