Coexisting Pyogenic and Tuberculous Liver Abscess in Uncontrolled Diabetes: A Diagnostic Challenge
ABSTRACT Hepatic tuberculosis can mimic pyogenic liver abscess, particularly in patients with uncontrolled diabetes. Persistent or atypical hepatic lesions unresponsive to antibiotics should prompt tissue diagnosis using histopathology and molecular assays like GeneXpert to ensure timely diagnosis and appropriate management.

Clevidipine and nicardipine demonstrated comparable efficacy and safety for hypertensive emergencies. Clevidipine required lower infusion drug volumes, while subgroup analyses suggested faster attainment of target systolic blood pressure in selected clinical settings.
