A brief study on the boosted photocatalytic activity of AgI/WO3/ZnO in the degradation of Methylene Blue under visible light irradiation

Desalination and Water Treatment, 2019
A novel visible-light-driven AgI/WO3/ZnO nanocomposite was synthesized for the photodegradation of methylene blue (MB). The composite was characterized by XRD, UV-Vis DRS, SEM, BET, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and photoluminescence (PL ...

In Situ Grown AgI/Bi12O17Cl2 Heterojunction Photocatalysts for Visible Light Degradation of Sulfamethazine: Efficiency, Pathway, and Mechanism

, 2018
Visible-light-driven photocatalysts attract great interest because they can utilize more sunlight for reactions than conventional photocatalysts. A novel visible-light-driven photocatalyst AgI/Bismuth oxychloride (Bi12O17Cl2) hybrid was synthesized by a ...

Potentiometric and thermodynamic study of molten silver-iodide and alkali-iodide mixtures: AgI + LiI; AgI + NaI; AgI + RbI and AgI + CsI

Electrochimica Acta, 1968
Abstract The electromotive force of galvanic cells of Ag(s)|AgI(l) + MeI(l)| I 2 (g, 1 atm), C type has been measured as a function of temperature and molar fraction, for the molten mixtures AgI + LiI, AgI + NaI, AgI + RbI and AgI + CsI. The thermodynamic activity and the thermodynamic excess functions of the silver iodide have been derived from the

Agis, Cleomenes and Equality

Classical Philology, 1962
HE remaking of Sparta was conceived by Agis and by Cleomenes as basing the life of the Spartan body politic on Ia6C-nT. Equality was to be the result of their reforms. To Agis the panacea for the evils oppressing Sparta was "to equalize (Zaioc) and restore to full numbers the citizen body" (Plut. Ag. 6.

2012
Technique for silica encapsulation AgI nanoparticles was studied, which based on Stober method. Optimal reagents ratio was established for obtaining AgI nanoparticles coated in silica shell. Formation onto AgI surface quasi-regularly shaped silica shell was proved by transmission electron microcopy, UV ??? visible and IR-spectroscopy.

Pseudopotential bandstructure calculations for β-AgI and γ-AgI

Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, 1976
Abstract The pseudopotential calculations of Cohen and Bergstresser on the zinc-blende structures of Sn, InSb and CdTe, are extended to the I–VII compound, AgI. The resulting bandstructure for the metastable phase with the zinc-blende structure, denoted γ-AgI, is found to be in good agreement with that derived by a previous tight-binding calculation.
