Methodological Quality Assessment with the AGREE II Scale and a Comparison of European and American Guidelines for the Treatment of Lyme Borreliosis: A Systematic Review [PDF]
Background: Most European and American countries recently updated their guidelines on Lyme borreliosis (LB). The aim of this study was to provide a comparative overview of existing guidelines on the treatment of LB in Europe and America and to assess the methodological quality of their elaboration.

A harmonious note on pitch: Scales of pitch derived from subtractive model of comparison agree with the musical scale [PDF]
Subjects judged “ratios” and “differences” in pitch between pairs of tones that varied in frequency. Half of the subjects listened to stimuli that ranged from 191 to 844 Hz; the other half received a range that varied from 191 to 3740 Hz. For both ranges, the rank orders of judgments in the two tasks were essentially the same.

Comparing the QCD potential in Perturbative QCD and Lattice QCD at large distances [PDF]
We compare the perturbatively calculated QCD potential to that obtained from lattice calculations in the theory without light quark flavours. We examine E_tot(r) = 2 m_pole + V_QCD(r) by re-expressing it in the MSbar mass m = m^MSbar(m^MSbar) and by ...

A Unidimensional Item Response Model for Unfolding Responses From a Graded Disagree-Agree Response Scale [PDF]
Binary or graded disagree-agree responses to atti tude items are often collected for the purpose of attitude measurement. Although such data are sometimes ana lyzed with cumulative measurement models, recent studies suggest that unfolding models are more appro priate (Roberts, 1995; van Schuur & Kiers, 1994). Dirac eigenvalue correlations in quenched QCD at finite density [PDF]
We compare eigenvalue correlations of the Dirac operator with a chemical potential obtained from lattice simulations of quenched QCD with analytic predictions obtained from chiral effective theories in the zero-momentum limit.
