Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Evaluating the Utility of Paired Tumor and Germline Targeted DNA Sequencing for Pediatric Oncology Patients: A Single Institution Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

Agreement dynamics on directed random graphs

open access: yes, 2017
We examine some agreement-dynamics models that are placed on directed random graphs. In such systems a fraction of sites $\exp(-z)$, where $z$ is the average degree, becomes permanently fixed or flickering.

Measurement of the inclusive isolated-photon production cross section in pp and Pb–Pb collisions at $$\mathbf {\sqrt{\textit{s}_{NN }} = 5.02}$$ s NN = 5.02  TeV

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
The ALICE Collaboration at the CERN LHC has measured the inclusive production cross section of isolated photons at midrapidity as a function of the photon transverse momentum ( $$p_{\textrm{T}}^{\gamma }$$ p T γ ), in Pb–Pb collisions in different ...

Modelling Speech and Speakers: Gadamer and Davidson on dialogue, agreement, and intelligible difference

open access: yesLabyrinth: An International Journal for Philosophy, Value Theory and Sociocultural Hermeneutics, 2022
This paper examines Gadamer's and Davidson's dialogical models of interpretation. It shows them to be comparable, but importantly dissimilar with respect to the kind of agreement they require for communication to be possible.

Distributed Agreement on Activity Driven Networks

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper, we investigate asymptotic properties of a consensus protocol taking place in a class of temporal (i.e., time-varying) networks called the activity driven network.
