Biomaterial‐Based Colorimetric Sensors for Continuous Temperature Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The simultaneous use of multiple colorimetric inks on paper enables low cost thermometry that when assisted with data processing allows added accuracy compared to the sensitivity of individual thermochromic inks. Abstract Thermometers are essential sensing devices for applications ranging from health monitoring to emergency management and industrial ...

Morphology vs. Specific Surface Area: Which Plays the Leading Role in Microwave Absorption?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The role of morphology and specific surface area on microwave absorbing characteristics is systematically evaluated and compared. The matrix effect on microwave absorbing performance is studied using polyacetylurea. Implanted carbon nanotubes by red phosphorus and in situ polymerization of polyindole promoted microwave absorption.

Multi‐Material Gradient Printing Using Meniscus‐enabled Projection Stereolithography (MAPS)

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
MAPS is a new vat‐free printing technique that utilizes programmed delivery of resin droplets with custom formulations to enable multi‐material gradient printing of 3D structures with user‐defined variations in mechanical stiffness, opacity, surface energy, cell densities, and magnetic properties. Abstract Light‐based additive manufacturing methods are

Transparent, Sprayable Plastic Films for Luminescent Down‐Shifted‐Assisted Plant Growth

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
Spreading the light: A modular approach to down‐shifting europium‐containing polyoxotitanium luminescent cages is developed, allowing their incorporation into sprayable plastic coatings on agricultural greenhouses for accelerated plant growth. Abstract The world's steadily growing population and global heating due to climate change are a threat to food
