The ASFV CD2v protein inhibits apoptosis by inducing proteasomal degradation of BimEL via activation of the TPL2-MEK-ERK signaling pathway

open access: yesJournal of Virology
African swine fever virus (ASFV) employs sophisticated regulatory strategies to manipulate host cell apoptosis, a process critical for its pathogenesis and immune evasion; however, the mechanisms underlying this process remain incompletely understood ...

LIPOPHAGY: a novel form of steroidogenic activity within the LEYDIG cell during the reproductive cycle of turtle

open access: yesReproductive Biology and Endocrinology, 2019
Background Steroidogenesis is an indispensable process that is indirectly associated with spermatogenesis in the Leydig cell (LC) to utilize the lipid droplets (LDs) that are critical to maintaining normal testosterone synthesis.

Neutrophil extracellular traps induced by Haemonchus contortus excretory–secretory proteins varies among goats, gerbils, and mice

open access: yesParasites & Vectors
Background Previous studies indicated that infection with Haemonchus contortus is host-specific (goat: susceptible host; gerbil: paratenic host; mouse: resistant host).

TreeSpider: In‐Canopy Exploration With Tether‐Based Aerial Modular Arms

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A tethered drone with perching arms and a 360° ring enables unprecedented maneuverability within dense forest canopies. By dynamically adjusting tether length and decoupling pitch from the frame, it navigates between branches, senses multiple trees, and interacts physically with foliage.

A State‐Adaptive Koopman Control Framework for Real‐Time Deformable Tool Manipulation in Robotic Environmental Swabbing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

Neuropeptide SP protects against colitis and linked anxiety-like behavior through the putative roles of gut microbiota and metabolite inositol

open access: yesNature Communications
The gut-brain axis links gut inflammation to psychiatric symptoms in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. We demonstrate that neuropeptide substance P (SP) alleviated intestinal injury and behavioral disorders ...
