Plant‐based nanomaterials derived from alfalfa serve as dual‐function catalysts, coupling photodegradation and phytoremediation to degrade polyethylene under UV‐A light and in soil. The nanomaterials work synergistically with alfalfa and soil microbes, achieving efficient plastic breakdown without trophic transfer.

Red Blood Cells as Endogenous Biotweezers for Optical Micromanipulation In Vivo
By synergistically integrating the long‐distance manipulation fiber probe (LDMFP) and endogenous red blood cells (RBCs) as biocompatible optical elements, a natural RBC biotweezer was developed for the desired microparticle manipulation and immune cell activation within living vasculature, which might offer an alternative tool for intravital optical ...

A ZIF‐90 nanocarrier delivers dinotefuran and suppresses NlABCG3 and NlABCH1 in resistant Nilaparvata lugens. This system combines pH/ATP‐triggered release with enhanced foliar retention, improving efficacy while sparing honeybees and promoting rice growth, offering a promising resistance‐breaking strategy.

The promoted Escherichia coli‐assisted continuous evolution (PEACE) system operates through a stringent three step genetic circuit: target gene mutation via a deaminase–T7 RNA polymerase (T7 RNAP) fusion, coupling variant function to antitoxin expression, and growth based selection of surviving cells.

MPXV infection leads to persistent viral replication and severe local inflammation, while existing treatments cannot simultaneously remove viruses and repair injured tissue. This study constructs Polymer@mPDA@Gel hydrogel via a two‐step hierarchical assembly method: mPDA anchors photothermal polymers to form antiviral photothermal subunits, which are ...

This work demonstrates a novel energy regulation strategy using the long‐lived S₁ state as a “kinetic capacitor” to achieve temporally decoupled integration of photoinduced deformation and multicolor fluorescence in naphthalimide‐functionalized carbon dots. This dual‐channel programmable shunting of excited‐state energy establishes a dynamic single‐use

Hydrothermal carbonization of agricultural residues
Bioresource Technology, 2013The work presented in this article addresses the application of hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) to produce a solid fuel named HTC-Biochar, whose characteristics are comparable to brown coal. Several batch HTC experiments were performed using agricultural residues (AR) as substrates, commonly treated in farm-based biogas plants in Germany. Different AR

Combustion of agricultural residues
Progress in Energy and Combustion Science, 2000In the current overview paper, various issues related to the combustion of agricultural residues are discussed. Attention has been given to the problems associated with the properties of the residues such as low bulk density, low ash melting points, high volatile matter contents and the presence of nitrogen, sulfur, chlorine and sometimes high moisture
