Mechanochemical Nitrous Oxide Decomposition
Nitrous oxide (N2O) is a potent greenhouse gas with a global warming potential of 310. A novel mechanochemical strategy is presented for decomposing N2O into harmless nitrogen and oxygen, achieving a rapid decomposition rate of 1761.3 mL h−1 and nearly complete N2O conversion of 99.98% at 42 °C.

Embedded Fe‐Cu Pairs Enable Tandem Nitrate‐to‐Ammonia Electroreduction
A tandem Fe‐Cu pair catalyst, composing a single copper atom (Cu–N3) coordinated to adjacent iron clusters (Fe3N8), is designed. The electron‐deficient copper sites markedly enhance nitrate adsorption, while the electron‐rich iron clusters facilitate nitrite adsorption and water activation, thereby accelerating the electroreduction of nitrate and ...

Tuning Active Hydrogen on Reconstructed RuO2/Co(OH)2 Catalysts for Selective Ammonia Synthesis
A combined approach of precatalyst design and electrolyte engineering is employed to develop highly active, selective, and stable catalysts for electrochemical nitrate reduction. In alkaline media, the reconstructed RuO2/Co(OH)2 catalyst demonstrates impressive performance in ammonia synthesis, rechargeable Zn‐NO3− battery, and the remediation of ...
