Development of an Efficient Agrobacterium Mediated Transformation Protocol for Sri Lankan Rice Variety - Bg 250

open access: yesTropical Agricultural Research, 2011
Experiments were conducted to establish an efficient and simple protocol for regeneration and Agrobacterium mediated genetic transformation of an agronomically important indica rice variety Bg 250.

Studies on plant gene transfer systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
A number of methods for the transfer of genes to plants are assessed in this work. The potential of Agrobacterium tumefaciens infection of germinating pollen tubes in vitro as a method of gene transfer was investigated and evidence presented for an ...

Review of methodologies and a protocol for the Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of wheat [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Since the first report of wheat transformation by Agrobacterium tumefaciens in 1997, various factors that influence T-DNA delivery and regeneration in tissue culture have been further investigated and modified.

Transposase‐Assisted Donor Tethering Boosts Large‐Fragment HDR in Plants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A transposase‐assisted donor tethering strategy is developed to enhance homology‐directed repair in plants. By recruiting donor DNA to double‐strand breaks and synergizing with repair pathway reprogramming and transcription‐coupled donor design, this system markedly improves large‐fragment targeted insertion efficiency, providing a robust platform for ...

GENETICALLY MODIFIED FRUITS: THE SOLUTION OR A PROBLEM? [GENETICKY MODIFIKOVANÉ OVOCE: ŘEŠENÍ NEBO PROBLÉM?] [PDF]

open access: yesVědecké Práce Ovocnářské
Genetically modified (GM) fruit crops breeding began in the 1990s and brought several successful GM varieties. The first successful GM fruit tree was a transgenic papaya, which saved its growing industry in Hawaii.

TRANSIENT EXPRESSION OF REPORTER GENES IN CULTIVARS OF Amaranthus caudatus L. [PDF]

open access: yesBiotechnologia Acta, 2021
Local cultivars of A. caudatus: Helios and Karmin were used as plant material. Amaranth is a new pseudocereal introduced in Ukraine. The plant biomass of amaranth is used in medicine, food industry and cosmetology industry. Aim.

NLSS3 Impairs SHM1 Autophagic Degradation to Regulate Leaf Morphology and Salt Tolerance in Rice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In rice, NLSS3 binds and shields SHM1 from autophagic degradation to maintain serine homeostasis. The A132P mutation in nlss3 disrupts this, triggering SHM1 loss, metabolic dysfunction, K+ imbalance, and impaired ROS scavenging, which collectively drive narrow leaves and salt sensitivity.

Improved genome of Agrobacterium radiobacter type strain provides new taxonomic insight into Agrobacterium genomospecies 4 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The reported Agrobacterium radiobacter DSM 30174T genome is highly fragmented, hindering robust comparative genomics and genome-based taxonomic analysis. We re-sequenced the Agrobacterium radiobacter type strain, generating a dramatically improved genome

Attachment of Agrobacterium to plant surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2014
Agrobacterium tumefaciens binds to the surfaces of inanimate objects, plants, and fungi. These bacteria are excellent colonizers of root surfaces. In addition, they also bind to soil particles and to the surface of artificial or man-made substances, such as polyesters and plastics.

Identification and analysis of a flagellar gene operon of Agrobacterium tumefaciens [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
The cosmid, pDUB1900, from a representative genomic library of the Agrobacterium tumefaciens C58C1 chromosome has previously been partly mapped and found to contain genes concerned with flagellar structure, assembly and function.
