Opportunities for chiral agrochemicals

Pesticide Science, 1996
Chiral compounds account for 25% of all agrochemical compounds used commercially and for 26% of the total value of the world agrochemical market. However, those sold in single isomer form contribute only 7% to the market value despite many potential advantages in terms of regulatory, intellectual property and marketing benefits.

Discovery of N-aryl-pyridine-4-ones as Novel Potential Agrochemical Fungicides and Bactericides.

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2019
A series of N-aryl-pyridine-4-ones derivatives were designed and synthesized by using maltol and antidesmone as lead compounds, and then their fungicidal/bactericidal activities and possible mechanism of action against Colletotrichum musae were explored.

Agrochemicals and Water Management

1996
Although population growth rates have been declining recently, by 2050 the planet could have 10 billion people, double the number of humans it has now. If we look at the global water resources, we see a frightening outlook. The impact of this increased population on the environment will be severe.
