Some Remarks Concerning the Inscription of Ahmose, Son of Ebana
Journal of the American Research Center in Egypt, 1974such lasting effect on Egypt and also on much of the ancient Near East. As Vandersleyen so appropriately emphasized, the text is not contemporary with the events; its codification in the El-Kab tomb is not even close in time at all, but occurred only in the reign of Thutmosis III, approximately a century later.
