Progress on Research and Development of 3rd Generation of Advanced High-Strength Steel for Car

open access: yesTeshugang, 2013
In recent decades, advanced high strength steel (AHSS) for car is focal point of research and development work for materials. Strength -elongation product of 1st generation AHSS steel with ferrite matrix is 15 GPa • % , and the strength -elongation ...

Crash Behavior of DP800–DP1000 Advanced High‐Strength Steel’s Dissimilar Resistance Spot Welded Joints Under Quasi‐static and High Strain Rates

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
The high‐strain‐rate behavior of resistance spot‐welded DP800–DP1000 joints is investigated. Results show that microstructural gradients across BM–HAZ–FZ govern hardness, strain rate sensitivity, and failure modes. While strength increases with strain rate, energy absorption is controlled by ductility, with DP800–DP800 joints showing superior ...

Wide‐Awake Local Anaesthesia No Tourniquet Hand Surgery in Australia: An Analysis of Adoption, Perceptions and Implementation in a Global Context

open access: yesANZ Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Wide‐awake local anaesthesia no tourniquet (WALANT) is increasingly used globally for hand surgery, offering clinical and operational benefits. However, its adoption in Australia remains understudied. This study assessed current WALANT usage among Australian hand surgeons to identify key factors influencing its implementation ...

Strategies teachers use to support students' self‐regulation skill development in mainstream primary schools: A scoping review

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, Volume 52, Issue 3, Page 2091-2118, June 2026.
Abstract This scoping review has explored the interventions and approaches used by teachers in mainstream (general education) primary schools (students aged 4–11) to support self‐regulation skill development in the classroom. The review followed the PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA‐ScR) guidelines for reporting and was guided by the Joanna ...

Taking Fuel From the Fire: Regulating the Introduction of Rape Myth Infused and Irrelevant Evidence About Complainants in Rape Trials

open access: yesBehavioral Sciences &the Law, Volume 44, Issue 3, Page 495-507, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT This article considers how victim‐blaming and stereotypical attitudes about appropriate victim behaviour can impact upon the operation of rape trials, particularly by prejudicing a complainant's testimony where s/he can be portrayed as having departed from the stereotypical norm of a ‘real victim’.

Microstructure Evolution in Directionally Solidified Fe–C–Mn–(Si) Peritectic Steels

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 97, Issue 6, Page 3133-3142, June 2026.
This study investigates how growth velocity and silicon additions affect dendritic morphology, primary arm spacing, and mushy‐zone evolution in directionally solidified quaternary peritectic steels. Silicon substantially broadens the freezing range and lengthens the mushy zone, increasing susceptibility to interdendritic cracking.

Using the particle finite element method for predicting edge-cracking in complex phase high-strength steel sheets [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences
Advanced High-strength steel (AHSS) sheets enable lightweight designs by reducing material thickness while retaining necessary structural properties. However, their high strength often complicates forming operations and increases vulnerability to defects

Journalists’ Use of Gender‐Inclusive Language in German Youth Radio: Ethnographic Insights From On‐ and Off‐Air Communication

open access: yesJournal of Sociolinguistics, Volume 30, Issue 1, Page 43-55, February 2026.
ABSTRACT The use of gender‐inclusive language (GIL) in German is frequently examined in linguistics and related fields. While journalistic texts are often the central element of such analyses, research on the actual language users – the journalists – and their complex linguistic practices behind the scenes is rather scarce.

Effect of weld-line position on springback behavior in advanced high-strength steel tailor-welded blanks on hat-shaped bending application

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Joining Processes
In this study, both experiments and finite-element analysis are performed to elucidate the effect of weld-line position on the springback behavior of advanced high-strength steel tailor-welded blanks (AHSS-TWBs).

Cross‐Scale Study of DP780 Steel: From Crystal Plasticity Modeling to Failure and Formability Prediction

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 97, Issue 1, Page 252-267, January 2026.
A cross‐scale modeling strategy is developed to predict failure and formability of DP780 steel by linking microstructural features with macroscopic behavior. Crystal plasticity and macroscopic damage models are integrated and validated through nanoindentation, in situ bending, and finite element simulations.
