Opinion and report of the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES) on the assessment of the impact of fox population dynamics on public health

open access: yesFood Risk Assess Europe, Volume 3, Issue 2, April 2025.
ABSTRACT The Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes) can be hunted as a game species. It may also be listed as a “species likely to cause damage” (ESOD – the acronym in French), for public health reasons among others. Conversely, benefits linked to the presence of foxes are also put forward, such as the predation of rodents carrying zoonotic agents.

Blaming the house: women's efforts to preserve marriage in a rural Sinhala village

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Anthropological Institute, Volume 30, Issue 4, Page 973-989, December 2024.
Abstract In rural Sri Lanka, marital tension, frequently leading to violence, is an increasing problem. Predictors of low and very low bone mineral density in long‐term childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia survivors: Toward personalized risk prediction

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, Volume 71, Issue 8, August 2024.
Abstract Background Cohorts of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (cALL) survivors reaching adulthood are increasing. Approximately 30% of survivors meet criteria for low bone mineral density (BMD) 10 years after diagnosis. We investigated risk factors for low BMD in long‐term cALL survivors. Methods We recruited 245 cALL survivors from the PETALE (

CAR T‐cell therapy induces a high rate of prolonged remission in relapsed primary CNS lymphoma: Real‐life results of the LOC network

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 99, Issue 7, Page 1240-1249, July 2024.
Abstract The prognosis of relapsed primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) remains dismal. CAR T‐cells are a major contributor to systemic lymphomas, but their use in PCNSL is limited. From the LOC network database, we retrospectively selected PCNSL who had leukapheresis for CAR‐T cells from the third line of treatment, and, as controls, PCNSL ...

Biologically active adrenomedullin as a marker for residual congestion and early rehospitalization in patients hospitalized for acute heart failure: Data from STRONG‐HF

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Heart Failure, Volume 26, Issue 7, Page 1480-1492, July 2024.
Aims Biologically active adrenomedullin (bio‐ADM) is a promising marker of residual congestion. The STRONG‐HF trial showed that high‐intensity care (HIC) of guideline‐directed medical therapy (GDMT) improved congestion and clinical outcomes in heart failure (HF) patients.

Structural analysis of neomycin B and kanamycin A binding Aminoglycosides Modifying Enzymes (AME) and bacterial ribosomal RNA

open access: yesMolecular Informatics, Volume 43, Issue 7, July 2024.
Abstract Aminoglycosides are crucial antibiotics facing challenges from bacterial resistance. This study addresses the importance of aminoglycoside modifying enzymes in the context of escalating resistance. Drawing upon over two decades of structural data in the Protein Data Bank, we focused on two key antibiotics, neomycin B and kanamycin A, to ...

Prediction of 5‐year overall survival of diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma on the pola‐R‐CHP regimen based on 2‐year event‐free survival and progression‐free survival

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 13, Issue 1, January 2024.
Abstract This study aimed to predict the 5‐year overall survival (OS) benefit of pola‐R‐CHP versus R‐CHOP in the POLARIX trial based on the 2‐year event‐free survival (EFS) and progression‐free survival (PFS) rates in diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma (DLBCL). We identified randomized controlled trials (RCT) published before 31 May 2023.
