Quantitative Analysis of Japan’s 2030 Target Based on AIM/CGE and AIM/Enduse
2017Japan submitted its (Intended) Nationally Determined Contributions ((I)NDC) that is 26% reduction of GHG in 2030 compared with the 2013 level on July 2015. In this analysis, Japan’s NDC is assessed using the technology selection model (AIM/Enduse) and the computable general equilibrium model (AIM/CGE) developed by AIM (Asia-Pacific Integrated Model ...

Directional analysis of SAR images aiming at wind direction
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2004Currently, the retrieval of wind fields from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images suffers from inadequate knowledge of the wind direction. State-of-the-art spectral analysis works fine on open seas, but is limited in spatial resolution. The method described here is based on the local gradients computed with standard image processing algorithms.

Aims of the analysis and the choices of analytical methods
The research on micro- and nanoplastics (MPs/NPs) has made significant progress over time. Currently, standard methodologies for the analysis of MPs/NPs are yet to be established. Nonetheless, researchers are diligently working toward developing analytical methods that yield reliable results concerning the quantification and characterization of MPs/NPs.De-la-Torre, Gabriel Enrique +6 more
