Startup characteristics of plasmatron gasoline reformers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The startup characteristics of plasmatron reformers with gasoline fuel for the generation of hydrogen rich gas is discussed. A brief set of experiments has been carried out at a single fuel and air flow rate.

Ignition of lean fuel-air mixtures in a premixing-prevaporizing duct at temperatures up to 1000 K [PDF]

open access: yes
Conditions were determined in a premixing prevaporizing fuel preparation duct at which ignition occurred. An air blast type fuel injector with nineteen fuel injection points was used to provide a uniform spatial fuel air mixture.

performance improvement of the combustion process in diesel engines with fuel heater

open access: yesJEMMME (Journal of Energy, Mechanical, Material, and Manufacturing Engineering)
The incomplete combustion process will be a problem in the development effort of the diesel engine's performance. The non-homogeneous air-fuel mixing process is one of the factors which causes incomplete combustion.

Composition surveys of test gas produced by a hydrogen-oxygen-air burner [PDF]

open access: yes
As a result of the need for a uniform hot gas test stream for fuel injector development for hydrogen fueled supersonic combustion ramjet engines, an experimental study of injector configuration effect on exit flow uniformity of a hydrogen fueled oxygen ...

A Two-Dimensional Model of a Single-Chamber SOFC with Hydrocarbon Fuels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The single chamber fuel cell (SCFC) is a novel simplification of the conventional solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) into which a premixed fuel/air mixture is introduced.
