Estimating climate change-related impacts on outdoor air pollution infiltration
Environmental Research, 2021Rising temperatures due to climate change are expected to impact human adaptive response, including changes to home cooling and ventilation patterns. These changes may affect air pollution exposures via alteration in residential air exchange rates, affecting indoor infiltration of outdoor particles.

Forecasting estimates of surface air temperature changes by the wavelet transformation method
Atmospheric and Oceanic Optics, 2009Analysis of a series of average annual surface air temperature (SAT) shows that they consist of three major components: a long-term trend, a set of harmonic components, and anomalies whose characters are close to a random process. We propose to use wavelet transformation of the source series to set aside quasi-periodic fluctuations.

Estimates of Direct Radiative Forcing Impact on Surface Air Temperature Changes in the Modern Period
Doklady Earth Sciences, 2021Estimates of the contribution of direct radiative forcing (DRF) to the surface air temperature trends over the Northern Hemisphere (NH) continents for the period 1979–2012 have been obtained based on an ensemble of numerical experiments with an atmospheric general circulation model using the prescribed historical sea surface temperature and sea ice ...

Resampling of network-induced variability in estimates of terrestrial air temperature change
Climatic Change, 1995Uneven and changing spatial distributions of air temperature stations can produce unrepresentative samples of the space-time variability of near-surface air temperature. Over the last century, station networks have varied from less than 300 stations that are largely limited to the Northern Hemisphere to nearly 1700 stations that are fairly well ...

Estimation of sampling error uncertainties in observed surface air temperature change in China
Theoretical and Applied Climatology, 2016This study examines the sampling error uncertainties in the monthly surface air temperature (SAT) change in China over recent decades, focusing on the uncertainties of gridded data, national averages, and linear trends. Results indicate that large sampling error variances appear at the station-sparse area of northern and western China with the maximum ...

Estimating the change of porosity in the saturated zone during air sparging.
Journal of environmental sciences (China), 2007Air sparging is a remedial method for groundwater. The remedial region is similar to the air flow region in the saturated zone. If soil particles are transported during air sparging, the porosity distributions in the saturated zone change, which may alter the flow path of the air.
