A fully polymeric two‐dimensional array of Dielectric Elastomers enables self‐sensing, cooperative actuation, and large‐stroke operation in a DE‐based autonomous conveyor. Based only on voltage and current measurements at actuator level, the system detects the presence of a ball and subsequently drives it toward a target position.

Numerical and experimental study on air thrust foil bearing performance with improved structural model based on real-time taper inlet height [PDF]
Abstract Air thrust foil bearings are key bearings of micro turbo-machinery (such as micro gas turbines, turbo blowers, and air compressors). The bearing load capacity is affected by many factors, and the taper inlet height of bearing structure is closely related to the load capacity.

Escaping the Scaling Relationships in Oxygen Reduction Catalysis: Implications for PEM Fuel Cells
Escaping the scaling relationships of the oxygen reduction reaction is vital for hydrogen fuel cells. This outlook examines how interfacial heterogeneity, spanning the subsurface lattice, chemisorption layer, and near‐interface solvation volume, mechanistically decouples intermediate binding energetics.
