Topical transdermal administration of lenalidomide nanosuspensions-based hydrogels against melanoma: In vitro and in vivo studies

open access: yesInternational Journal of Pharmaceutics: X
Percutaneous neoadjuvant therapy has proven effective in diminishing tumor size and the surgical intervention area, which couldeffectively mitigate the risk of tumor recurrence and enhance immunotherapy efficacy.

Aviation fatigue detection based on cardiorespiratory coupling: A study under normoxic and mild hypoxic conditions

open access: yesResults in Engineering
With rising long-duration flights, pilot fatigue increasingly threatens flight safety and efficiency. While the electrocardiogram (ECG) provides a stable and portable solution for aviation fatigue monitoring, reliable biomarkers beyond heart rate ...

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Cytoplasmic p21 promotes stemness of colon cancer cells via activation of the NFκB pathway

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytoplasmic p21 promotes colorectal cancer stem cell (CSC) features by destabilizing the NFκB–IκB complex, activating NFκB signaling, and upregulating BCL‐xL and COX2. In contrast to nuclear p21, cytoplasmic p21 enhances spheroid formation and stemness transcription factor CD133.

Study on a combined prediction method based on BP neural network and improved Verhulst model

open access: yesSystems Science & Control Engineering, 2019
The cost prediction is an important part of macroeconomic prediction. The fitting degree of the prediction model not only directly influences the prediction accuracy but also determines the effectiveness of the information provided to the decision maker,

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
