Influence of structure and stretch on air permeability of compression knits
, 2020Air permeability has a valuable role in comfort parameters. It is known that air permeability of elastomeric yarns is firmly low. Despite that, usage of elastomeric inlay-yarns is the most common and the most effective way to generate compression for ...

Evaluation of the air permeability of elastic knitted fabrics and their assemblies
International Journal of Clothing Science and Technology, 2018Purpose The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the air permeability of knitted fabrics containing elastane fibre and their seams applying both the new approach based on fabric thickness measurement at different pressures and standard method.

Laboratory Studies on Air Permeability
2018The concept of air permeability of earth materials has been an important parameter to many branches of the earth sciences. Air permeability has been of particular interest to soil and agricultural scientists for decades as it relates to the aeration and gas exchange between soils and the atmosphere, to soil structure, and to the movement of surface and

Air Permeability of Parachute Gloths
Textile Research Journal, 1955The air permeability of 8 standard nylon parachute cloths was determined, using samples 6.05 in. in effective diameter. Fifty-nine experimental nylon cloths manu factured by the Bally Ribbon Mills were subjected to the same test procedure, as were 2 experimental fabrics of Orlon and Dacron, and 4 different samples of wire screen.

Air permeability and trapped‐air content in two soils
Water Resources Research, 1989To improve understanding of hysteretic air permeability relations, a need exists for data on the water content dependence of air permeability, matric pressure, and air trapping (especially for wetting‐drying cycles). To obtain these data, a special instrument was designed.

Air Permeability of Masonry Materials
2014A series of air permeance tests were performed on test panels constructed of clay brick and mortar according to ASTM E2178-11: Standard Test Method for Air Permeance of Building Materials. Four sets of brick were included in the test which represented a range of brick configurations. Typically, very low values of air permeance were measured on the test
