Effective monitoring of an air quality network
2018 4th International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Signal and Image Processing (ATSIP), 2018Air pollution in urban areas could be considered as one of the most dangerous types of pollution that can cause impact health and the ecosystem. Hence, monitoring air quality networks has captivated the interest of various research studies. In this context, this paper deals with Fault Detection of an Air Quality Monitoring Network.

The AYO! project for air quality monitoring
2016 IEEE International Symposium on Systems Engineering (ISSE), 2016The school dropout is a not negligible phenomenon that, if not effectively contrasted, puts at risk the future of young people and expose them to greater risks of unemployement, poverty and social exclusion compared to peers with a good instruction level.

Air quality monitoring in scholar environments
2019 5th Experiment International Conference (exp.at'19), 2019Children are one of the population groups more vulnerable to health effects associated to urban air pollution. Children exposure estimations require knowledge of pollutant concentration levels in these particular environments, where they spend a great part of their time for many years.

A Solution for Air Quality Monitoring and Forecasting
2018 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI), 2018Air quality monitoring is shifting towards more personalized means of data collection, trading accuracy for size and cost. In this paper, we introduce a concept solution for air quality monitoring composed of wearable sensing devices, methods of storing and computing the data and a web portal for visualizing the data.

Real Time Air Quality Monitoring
2018 10th International Conference on Knowledge and Smart Technology (KST), 2018In this paper, a real-time crowd sensing based air quality monitoring system is presented. The proposed system uses low cost and low power devices with gas sensors to capture the air quality index from the atmosphere. Raw sensor data collected from the gas sensors sent to the cloud using an android application.

On air quality monitoring in industrial areas
IMTC/98 Conference Proceedings. IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference. Where Instrumentation is Going (Cat. No.98CH36222), 2002Mathematical models for prediction of air pollutant levels, produced by industrial plants, have been taken into account. A black box approach, for modeling air pollution is proposed. The main target of the models is the prediction, on the basis of both the meteorological forecasting and the production policy, of pollutant levels, in particular sulfur ...

System for Monitoring Air Quality and Smog
2018 IEEE International Conference on Electro/Information Technology (EIT), 2018Air pollution and smog events are issues that are experienced in many large cities worldwide. Vehicle emissions are the largest contributor to these problems. The system presented in this paper aims to provide air quality and smog information for possible regulation of hybrid vehicle emissions. The system will evaluate the ambient air to determine if a

A procedure for the optimization of air quality monitoring networks
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, Part C (Applications and Reviews), 1999This paper deals with the processing of air pollutant measures acquired in urban areas. A procedure for the optimization of a network for air pollutant monitoring is addressed. The proposed procedure allows for the optimization of the number of monitoring stations by using adequate mathematical models.
