Elevation-dependent warming of maximum air temperature in Nepal during 1976–2015

Atmospheric research, 2019
Significant elevation-dependent warming (EDW) of maximum near-surface air temperature and diurnal temperature range (DTR) has been observed in Nepal (southern central Himalaya) until 2566 m a.s.l., over the last four decades (1976–2015).

Sol-air temperature

Applied Energy, 1977
The definition and equation for sol-air temperature are discussed. The sol-air temperature is defined as the outside air temperature which, in the absence of solar radiation, would give the same temperature distribution and rate of heat transfer through a wall (or roof) as exists due to the combined effects of the actual outdoor temperature ...

Comparison of Air Temperature Calibrations

International Journal of Thermophysics, 2014
European national metrology institutes use calibration systems of various types for calibrating thermometers in air. These were compared to each other for the first time in a project organized by the European Association of National Metrology Institutes (EURAMET).

Effects of open-air temperature on air temperature inside biological safety cabinet

Journal of Oncology Pharmacy Practice, 2011
In Japan, biological safety cabinets (BSCs) are normally used by medical staff while handling antineoplastic agents. We have also set up a class II B2 BSC at the Division of Chemotherapy for Outpatients. The air temperature inside this BSC, however, decreases in winter. We assumed that this decrease is caused by the intake of open-air.

Health, work performance, and risk of infection in office-like environments: The role of indoor temperature, air humidity, and ventilation.

International Journal of Hygiene and Environmental Health, 2021
Epidemiological and experimental studies have revealed the effects of the room temperature, indoor air humidity, and ventilation on human health, work and cognitive performance, and risk of infection. In this overview, we integrate the influence of these
