The determination of field usability of method measuring temperature fields in the air using an infrared camera

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
The article deals with the field usability determination of the method for measuring temperature fields in the air using an infrared camera. This method is based on the visualization of temperature fields on an auxiliary material, which is inserted into ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

ANALISIS PERUBAHAN TEMPERATUR UDARA 2004-2010 UNTUK MEMPREDIKSI TEMPERATUR UDARA 2011-2014 DI KALIMANTAN SELATAN

open access: yesJurnal Fisika Flux, 2017
Abstrak: Nowadays, green house gas was increased which caused air temperature of surface arise, one of them is carbon dioxide (CO2), CO2 is part of green house gas which is strong enough to absorb infrared wave, but if CO2 concentration is too high it ...

Study of the Strain Law and Model of an Open-Air Steel Column under Daily Temperature Changes in Winter

open access: yesBuildings
Steel structures with light weight, high rigidity, and easy assembly have become the first choice for large-span complex building materials. At the same time, transparent materials are widely used for the sake of practicality and aesthetics.

Recognition of Changes in Air and Soil Temperatures at a Station Typical of China’s Subtropical Monsoon Region (1961–2018)

open access: yesAdvances in Meteorology, 2019
Trends in soil temperature are important but rarely reported indicators of climate change. Based on daily air and soil temperatures (depth: 0, 20, 80, and 320 cm) recorded at the Nanchang Weather Station (1961–2018), this study investigated the variation

An analysis of moist air energy potential during the process of paper band drying [PDF]

open access: yesHemijska Industrija, 2006
The energy potential of moist air venting from the dryer of the installation for drying paper bands was analyzed. The thermodynamic state of air is defined by the air temperature at the outlet of the dryer and the dew temperature of the air.

Predicting daily soil temperature profiles in arable soils in cold temperate regions from air temperature and leaf area index [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Modelling of ecosystem processes often requires soil temperature as a driving variable. Since soil temperature measurements are seldom available for regional applications, they have to be estimated from standard meteorological data. The objective of this

Cell geometry and membrane protein crowding constrain Escherichia coli growth rate, overflow metabolism, respiration, and maintenance energy

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

α‐Synuclein aggregation landscape from phase separation to neurotoxic intermediates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Alpha‐synuclein aggregation in Parkinson's disease involves a complex landscape of transient intermediates, including oligomers, fibrils and liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS). A view is emerging in which LLPS maturation into solid‐like condensates may contribute to the formation of neurotoxic species.
