Aircraft Trim Recovery from Highly Nonlinear Upset Conditions

AIAA Guidance, Navigation, and Control Conference, 2016
Aircraft loss of control (LOC) can result from a large spectrum of causal and contributing factors and is manifested as flight outside of the normal operating envelope and not predictably altered by pilot (or flight system) control inputs. LOC can also be characterized by nonlinear aircraft effects that degrade handling (or flying) qualities, including

Optimization Model and Algorithm of Unbalanced Aircraft Recovery

International Conference on Transportation Engineering 2009, 2009
In order to deal with Aircraft Recovery effectively for airlines, the classic Resource Assignment Model is expanded by broadening aircraft flow balance constraint and adding flights merger strategy. Besides, integrating the characteristics of Greedy Random Adaptive Search Procedure and Simulated Annealing algorithm, a new Greedy Random Simulated ...

Range of High‐Tech Equipment for Aircraft Maintenance, Ground Service and Aircraft Recovery

Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, 1991
A new BeadBreaker for aircraft tyres is marketed by Kunz. The first Schäfer UBB BeadBreaker is in operation since April 1990 at Monarch Aircraft Engineering, a bunch of orders have been received by Kunz for this machine in the meanwhile. British Airways took delivery of two UBB BeadBreakers in January 1991.

Ground-operated energy recovery system for landing aircraft

2009 International Conference on Sustainable Power Generation and Supply, 2009
In this paper, an innovative concept to convert the huge kinetic energy stored in landing aircraft into electricity is identified and presented. An appropriate technical route involving linear machines to implement this concept is proposed. Some challenges and possible applications are discussed.
