Airflow in a city

open access: yesMAUSAM, 1974
The most important factor influencing the atmospheric pollution is wind. In the present article a theoretical model is described to obtain the wind flow inside a city area. A horizontally homogeneous stationary turbulent layer is considered and the constructions like buildings, etc.

Real‐Time and Non‐Invasive Detection of Respiratory Viral Infections Using an Intelligent Odor Monitoring System (IOMS)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An intelligent odor monitoring system integrates an IVC animal model, gas sensor array, real‐time resistance readout, and machine‐learning analysis to continuously monitor infection‐associated odor changes. The platform captures longitudinal sensor responses, distinguishes infected from healthy states, and supports early‐stage respiratory viral ...

Parallelization of the coupling between CFD models for airflow and building energy simulation with an object-oriented infrastructure

open access: yes, 2012
Integrating CFD & HT models with the general building program raises the computational time of building simulations as these simulations are usually performed over a period of one year.

Heat Transfer and Mode Transition for Laser Ablation Subjected to Supersonic Airflow

open access: yes, 2016
When laser ablation is subjected to supersonic flow, the influence mechanism of airflow on laser ablation behavior is still unclear. A coupled thermal-fluid-structure model is presented to investigate the influence of supersonic airflow on the ...

Breaking the Durability–Power Trade‐Off: Boron‐Directed Faceted O3 Cathodes for High‐Rate Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Boron‐oxide‐assisted particle engineering stabilizes O3‐type layered cathodes for sodium‐ion batteries by mitigating phase transitions and lattice strain. Acting as flux and structural modifier, boron forms submicron hexagonal platelets with (003) facets and expanded Na‐layer spacing, enabling rapid Na⁺ diffusion and mechanical resilience.

The effect of ship shape and anemometer location on wind speed measurements obtained from ships

open access: yes, 2005
Wind speed measurements obtained from ship-mounted anemometers are biased by the distortion of the airflow around the ship's hull and superstructure. These wind speed measurements are used both in numerical weather prediction and in climate studies and ...

Investigation of Moisture‐Induced Degradation Mechanisms and a Reviving Strategy for Sulfide‐Based Solid Electrolytes in All‐Solid‐State Composite Cathode

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Moisture exposure induces the formation of reductive solid phases on argyrodite Li6PS5Cl, which destabilize Ni‐rich cathodes by extracting lattice oxygen and inducing surface reconstruction. A brief oxygen‐assisted annealing treatment quenches these reductive phases, restores interfacial stability, and enables effective regeneration and reuse of ...
