Bi-Photon Entangled Airy Beams through Unstable Oceanic Turbulence

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2022
Orbital angular momentum (OAM) carried by bi-photon entangled Airy beams in unstable oceanic turbulence is theoretically investigated. The analytical expression of the spatial coherence radius of a spherical wave in the unstable stratification oceanic ...

Enhancing the Self-Healing Ability of a Partially Coherent Airy Beam via Fourier Processing: Numerical Investigation

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
Almost all of the beams under propagation are believed to suffer severe distortion when the source coherence deteriorates, due to the optical diffraction.

Accelerating Airy Beams Along Tunable Propagation Trajectories

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2017
We present a simple and highly efficient approach to directly generate tunable Airy beams, which can propagate along arbitrary monotonic curves. Such beams are generated by modulating a Gaussian beam imposed by tunable phase-only patterns.

Wideband Airy Beam Generation Using Reflective Metasurfaces with Both Phase and Amplitude Modulation

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
Airy beams are an intriguing type of non-diffraction wave packet that can exist in one-dimensional (1D) curved orbital plane systems. These beams have gained significant attention due to their unique properties, including non-diffraction, self-healing ...

Super-Airy beams

open access: yesOptics Express, 2023
We report on the numerical simulation results of the propagation of Fourier-transformed super-Gaussian beams with cubic phase modulation, which we refer to as super-Airy beams. We show the effect of the truncation profile on the propagation of the "Airy" intensity distribution and propose methods to improve the non-diffracting propagation length.

Airy-beam tomographic microscopy

open access: yesOptica, 2020
We introduce Airy-beam tomographic microscopy (ATM) for high-resolution, volumetric, inertia-free imaging of biological specimens. The work exploits the highly adjustable Airy trajectories in the 3D space, transforming the conventional telecentric wide-field imaging scheme that requires sample or focal-plane scanning to acquire 3D information.

Spontaneous-focusing and self-healing of Airy-like beams

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2020
Modulated by the spatial phase, Airy-like beams that possess the faster and better self-healing as well as the greater acceleration along the desired arbitrary trajectory are introduced.

Dual Airy beam

open access: yesOptics Express, 2010
We derive a general form of Airy wave function which satisfies paraxial equation of diffraction. Based on this, we propose a new form of Airy beam, which is composed of two symmetrical Airy beams which accelerate mutually in the opposite directions. This 'dual' Airy beam shows several distinguishing features: it has a symmetric transverse intensity ...

Generation of electron Airy beams [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 2013
Within the framework of quantum mechanics, a unique particle wave packet exists in the form of the Airy function. Its counterintuitive properties are revealed as it propagates in time or space: the quantum probability wave packet preserves its shape despite dispersion or diffraction and propagates along a parabolic caustic trajectory, even though no ...
