This study developed a simple, low‐cost scoring system using routine complete blood count (CBC) and derived immune‐inflammatory indicators (LYM%, PLT, PCT, and PLT × LYM) for early diagnosis of Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP) in 1662 children. Age‐stratified analysis confirmed that key indicators remained significantly higher in the pneumonia ...

Experimental study on the effect of austenitic stainless steel filler wires (AISI 308L & AISI 304L) on the metallurgical and mechanical properties of ferritic stainless steel AISI 409 welds [PDF]
This study examines practical measures to mitigate crack formation in ferritic stainless-steel grade AISI 409 during Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. AISI 409 is widely used for mufflers and exhaust components.

The hardness and corrosion resistance of the martensitic stainless steel X30Cr13 depend directly on the applied heat treatment. This article describes and discusses the relationships between alloy composition, thermodynamic phase stabilities, heat treatment parameters, resulting microstructures, and achievable corrosion resistance. To investigate these

Schematic depicting corrosion layer formation and changes in stainless steel exposed to Solar Salt at 600°C for 1000 h under different atmospheres: (a) N2 accelerates salt decomposition, producing nitrite and oxide ions, causing severe corrosion. (b) Adding O2 reduces nitrite ions formation, resulting in less corrosion than N2 alone.

This article examines the impact of externally introduced chromium compounds on the localized corrosion of 316 L stainless steel in acidic chloride environments such as hydrochloric acid. While the corrosion resistance of 316 L relies on the formation of a chromium‐rich passive oxide layer, industrial conditions may expose the steel to various chromium

Nature of Surface Microcracks on Phosphorus Micro‐Alloyed Copper
SSRT tests and microscopic characterization methods were used to study the effect of plastic deformation and environment on the formation of surface microcracks on Cu‐OFP. Results show that, while ambient conditions produced thousands of microcracks per mm2, exposure to sulfide water resulted in fewer microcracks with no evidence of crack growth ...

Driving forces in the corrosion dynamics of stainless steels in different aquatic environments
Corrosion is a critical factor in maintaining the integrity of marine facilities such as ship structures, offshore platforms, and other infrastructure, as it leads to surface deformation, including cracking and pitting.

Assessment of Electrical Resistance Sensors Sensitivity to Localized Corrosion
Are electrical resistance (ER) sensors reliable for localized corrosion detection? This study combines analytical modeling and experimental validation to show the vulnerability of ER sensors. The results demonstrate significant underestimation of the true corrosion depth of localized attacks depending on defect's geometry.
