The Corrosion Behavior of AISI 4140 Steel Subjected to Different Heat Treatments
This paper aims to investigate the corrosion behavior of AISI 4140 after various heat treatments. The structural and mechanical properties of non-heat-treated and heat-treated specimens were determined using a hardness test, optical microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD).

Thermo-Microstructural Numerical Simulation of Quenching Process of Steels
In this work, a 3D thermo-microstructural model was developed to simulate the continuous cooling of steel. The model was employed for simulation of cooling process of the gears made from a plain carbon steel (AISI 1045) and a low alloy steel (AISI 4140).
