Behaviour of resistance welded AISI 430 exposed to detergents

Journal of Materials Science Letters, 1984

Dissimilar friction stir welding of AISI 430 ferritic and AISI 304L austenitic stainless steels

Archives of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, 2020
Dissimilar joints of AISI 430 ferritic and AISI 304L austenitic stainless steels were produced by friction stir welding process. A sound and defect-free joint was obtained at 1 mm tool offset towards the ferritic sample located in the advancing side, and at rotational and welding speeds of 560 rpm and 50 mm/min, respectively.

Process parameter optimization and performance comparison of AISI 430 and AISI 1018 in resistance spot welding process

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2020
Abstract Resistance spot welding (RSW) process plays an important role in the sheet metal fabrication process, in which metal joining is obtained by heat developed through electric resistance against the current flow in the metals contact area. In this work, the impact of weld time, squeeze time, weld current and hold time on weld strength of 1.2 mm ...

Strain aging of AISI 430 ferritic stainless steel

Scripta Materialia, 1997
High stress corrosion resistance and relatively low production costs are the main reasons for the increasing application of AISI 430 ferritic stainless steels. Problems such as loss of ductility and toughness when exposed to elevated temperatures, occurring in these steels, for instance, during welding, are being dealt with, and the main challenge now ...

A study of individual and interaction effect of process parameters on friction welded AISI 410 and AISI 430 joint

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2021
Abstract Permanent fastening of metals is a good technique in mechanical industries since bronze age and now it is an attainable gradual improvement gave a surge to modern welding development. The selection of welding technique and its parameters are king pin to produce defects free joint and more productivity.
