The pre‐internalization phase of endocytosis remains poorly characterized at single‐cell levels. Single‐cell pre‐internalization mechanics are investigated using advanced robotic techniques. Cancer cells exhibit biphasic adhesion – rapid initial binding followed by reinforcement – while fibroblasts show gradual engagement.

ABSTRACT Investigating the mechanical and wear properties of widely used PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) filaments is important to understanding the material's performance, reliability, and suitability in different application areas. This study performed tensile and wear tests on PETG samples produced with a 3D printer using four infill ...

Investigation of Cutting Performance of Nano/Layered Hard Coatings in Face Milling of AISI D2 Steel
In the die-molding industry, milling steels in a hardened condition is common. Tool wear and cutting-forces occurring during this process must be considered for better surface quality.

An Atomic‐Scale View at γ’‐Fe4N as Hydrogen Barrier Material
This study demonstrates the efficacy of γ’‐Fe4N nitride layers, formed via gas nitriding, as hydrogen permeation barriers. Advanced characterization, hydrogen permeation analysis, and DFT calculations reveal a 20 fold reduction in hydrogen diffusion at room temperature.

Effects of chromium powder mixed in electrical discharge machining of AISI D2 hardened steels [PDF]
Nowadays, electrical discharge machining (EDM) is the non-conventional method that has been used extensively in machining hard material that is commonly used in mold and die industry but the limitations of EDM will cause lower productivity and poor ...

Formation of a Nanostructured Ti‐Si‐C‐N Coating by Self‐Organization with Reduced Amorphous Matrix
TiSiCN coatings are deposited by PECVD technique to investigate its micro‐ and nanostructure as well as its mechanical and thermal properties. Instead of a nanocomposite structure consisting of randomly oriented nc‐grains surrounded by an aa‐matrix, these TiSiCN coatings show much larger grains with (200) orientation.
