A new model to correlate solubility of drug compounds in supercritical carbon dioxide
A new solubility model based on enhancement factor concept is proposed to correlate solubility of drug compounds in supercritical carbon dioxide (SCCO2). The correlating ability of the new model is compared with existing solubility model.

Survival Models Including Excess Hazard Model and Multilevel Excess Hazard Model with Application [PDF]
This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of procedures for the excess hazard model. A common issue with hazard models is estimating the overall hazard rather than the excess hazard, leading to inaccurate parameter estimates.

A new look at Akaike's Bayesian information criterion for inverse ill-posed problems [PDF]
Akaike's Bayesian information criterion (ABIC) has been widely used in geophysical inversion and beyond. However, little has been done to investigate its statistical aspects.

ABSTRACT Objectives Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common but often underrecognized complication in ischemic stroke patients undergoing mechanical thrombectomy, particularly among those with pre‐existing renal impairment. This study evaluated the incidence, risk factors, and clinical impact of AKI in this high‐risk population.

Akaike's information criterion (AIC) (Akaike, H., IEEE Trans. Automat. Contr. AC-19, 716-723 (1974)) was applied to estimate statistically the number of classes of binding sites from ligand-binding data. Several sets of data were analyzed by both the AIC

Efficacy of Inebilizumab in N‐MOmentum Trial Participants With or Without Prior Immunosuppressants
ABSTRACT This post hoc analysis examined the impact of prior immunosuppressants on the long‐term efficacy and safety of inebilizumab, a cluster of differentiation 19+ B‐cell–depleting monoclonal antibody, in participants with aquaporin‐4–seropositive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder from the N‐MOmentum trial (NTC02200770).

A Two‐Stage Questionnaire and Actigraphy Screening for iRBD in a Multicenter Retrospective Cohort
ABSTRACT Objective Isolated rapid‐eye‐movement sleep behavior disorder is a prodromal marker of synucleinopathies. However, most cases remain undiagnosed due to the insufficient predictive value of questionnaires and limited access to confirmatory video‐polysomnography. We assessed a two‐stage screening strategy combining a brief questionnaire on rapid‐

B-spline polynomials models for analyzing growth patterns of Guzerat young bulls in field performance tests [PDF]
Objective The aim of this study was to identify suitable polynomial regression for modeling the average growth trajectory and to estimate the relative development of the rib eye area, scrotal circumference, and morphometric measurements of Guzerat young ...

Finding an optimal dictionary of different wavelet types using sparse modeling to denoise ECG signal
Sparse signal modeling often reconstructs a signal with few atoms from a pre-defined dictionary. Hence the choice of wavelet dictionary that represents the sparsity of the target signal is crucial in sparse modeling approach.
