Systemic impact of intramuscular snake envenomation and intravenous immunoglobulin‐based antivenom treatment on murine plasma proteome and peptidome

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 35, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Snake envenomation remains a critical global public health challenge. In Brazil, the genus Bothrops is responsible for most accidents, typically resulting in coagulopathy, hemorrhage, and renal failure. Despite its clinical prevalence, the molecular mechanisms driving plasma protein disturbances remain poorly understood.

Buffer and salt dependent reassembly pathways of Myxococcus xanthus encapsulin

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 35, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Protein cages that adopt multiple assembly states provide tractable systems for probing the mechanisms that govern icosahedral shell formation. The Myxococcus xanthus encapsulin shell protein assembles into either a T = 1 shell (60 subunits) or a T = 3 shell (180 subunits), making it an ideal model to investigate how solution conditions bias ...

The Mycobacterium tuberculosis Rv0132c Gene Product Mtb‐FGD2 Can Act as an F420‐Dependent Glucose Dehydrogenase

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, Volume 94, Issue 9, Page 1610-1627, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The role of the cell envelope‐associated Rv0132c/FGD2 from Mycobacterium tuberculosis has long been a subject of debate. Importantly, FGD2 is found only in pathogenic mycobacteria, making it a potential drug target. While some suggest it functions as a glucose‐6‐phosphate dehydrogenase, others propose it acts instead as an F420‐dependent ...

Pravomoćnost upravnog akta

open access: yes, 2015

Upcycling Almond Byproducts: A Technoeconomic and Environmental Assessment of Almond Hull Hydrolysate

open access: yesSustainable Food Proteins, Volume 4, Issue 3, September 2026.
This study presents the first integrated technoeconomic analysis (TEA) and life cycle assessment (LCA) of converting almond hulls—a sugar‐rich agricultural byproduct—into almond hull hydrolysate (AHH), a low‐cost and environmentally favorable fermentation growth medium.

Stakeholder synergies in acquisitions

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, Volume 47, Issue 9, Page 2491-2521, September 2026.
Abstract Research Summary Acquisitions can create synergies by combining an acquirer's and a target's pre‐existing relationships with nonmarket stakeholders. We introduce the “reset effect” as a novel mechanism that occurs when a firm with cooperative stakeholder relationships combines with a firm that has conflictual relationships, prompting the ...

Dynamic Risk Assessment for the Development of Persistent Atrial Fibrillation Using Statistical and Machine Learning Approaches

open access: yesAnnals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology, Volume 31, Issue 5, September 2026.
Machine learning using 6‐month rolling AF burden from cardiac implantable devices accurately predicts 1‐year progression to persistent atrial fibrillation. Higher AF intensity and frequency strongly identify high‐risk patients, enabling dynamic, point‐in‐time risk stratification to support earlier, targeted clinical intervention.

The Effect of Nursing Students' Metaverse Perception on Flexible Thinking in Learning: A Path Analysis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Education, Volume 61, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT It is expected that nursing students will demonstrate flexibility in their thinking as they learn, enabling them to solve problems, produce solutions, and establish cooperation. The development of flexible thinking can be facilitated by the use of the metaverse, which is a technological innovation and a three‐dimensional virtual world.

Comparison of the Effects of Different Manual Therapy Techniques on Mandibular Mobility, Cervical Joint Position Sense, Jaw Function and Anxiety Levels in Individuals With Rheumatoid Arthritis and Temporomandibular Disorders: A Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesJournal of Oral Rehabilitation, Volume 53, Issue 9, Page 1637-1649, September 2026.
Joint mobilization and soft tissue mobilization improved mandibular mobility, cervical proprioception, jaw function and anxiety levels in rheumatoid arthritis patients with temporomandibular disorders compared to the control group. ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to compare the effects of soft tissue mobilization (STM) and joint mobilization (JM ...
