2022Sharif al-Idrisi is the only scientist among Islamic geographers who does not belong to a school and shows seven climates on his maps in accordance with the Ptolemy tradition. The author, who knew the previous Western sources and especially Ptolemy very well in his works, was also able to follow the Islamic geography works published before him.
