Ideal Molecular Sieving with a Dense MOF for Helium Upgrading with Highly Diffusion Selective Mixed Matrix Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Liquid-phase isophorone oxide rearrangement over mesoporous Al-MCM-41 materials

open access: yesJournal of Catalysis, 2005
The rearrangement of isophorone oxide has been investigated over Al-MCM-41 type mesostructured catalysts having different Si/Al molar ratios. The main rearrangement products are the ¿-diketone and the keto aldehyde, whereas the product coming from the decarbonylation of the latter is detected in minor amounts.

Synthesis and Characterization of Al MCM-41 Mesoporous Molecular Sieves [PDF]

open access: yesActa Physico-Chimica Sinica, 2010
Al MCM-41 mesoporous molecular sieves were synthesized by a hydrothermal method at 110 ℃ using the cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as a template, sodium silicate as the silicon source, and pseudoboehmite as the aluminum source. The obtained Al MCM-41 molecular sieve was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption ...
