Unsupervised news analysis for enhanced high‐frequency food insecurity assessment
Abstract This article introduces an artificial intelligence (AI)‐based system for forecasting food insecurity in data‐limited settings, employing unsupervised neural networks for topic modeling on news data. Unlike traditional methods, our system operates without relying on expert assumptions about food insecurity factors.

Terrorism and education: Evidence from instrumental variables estimators
Summary This paper estimates the effect of exposure to terrorist violence on education. Since terrorists may choose targets endogenously, we construct a set of novel instruments. To that end, we leverage exogenous variation from a local terrorist group's revenues and its affiliation with al‐Qaeda.
