Opisthobranch fauna from the National Park Arrecife Alacranes, southern Gulf of Mexico
2012The opisthobranch mollusks recorded in the National Park Arrecife Alacranes, a marine protected area and the largest coral reef in the southern Gulf of Mexico, were studied during three survey periods in 2009-2010. Several substrate types: rocks, sponges, corals, sand, Thalassia beds and drifting Sargassum were analyzed.

A new species of Alacran (Scorpiones: Typhlochactidae) from a cave in Oaxaca, Mexico
Zootaxa, 2009Alacran chamuco sp. nov., a new eyeless, troglobitic scorpion from Te Cimutaa, Valle Nacional, is described. This is the second known species in the genus; sharing with Alacran tartarus a very similar trichobothrial pattern and the lack of “petite” trichobothria—both unique characters in the family Typhlochactidae.
