Biotransformation of albendazole by fungi
World Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2007Twenty-five fungal cultures were screened for their ability to transform the anthelmintic drug albendazole. A filamentous fungi Cunninghamella blakesleeana transformed albendazole to three metabolites in significant quantities. The transformation of albendazole was identified by HPLC.
