Albert Bandura was born in 1925 in Alberta, Canada. He graduated in psychology from the University of British Columbia in 1949 and received a doctorate in clinical psychology from Iowa University in 1952. He served a post-doctoral internship at Wichita Guidance Center before joining Stanford University in California as an instructor.
