Decoupling Silicon and Graphite Contribution in High‐Silicon Content Composite Electrodes

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
The decoupled blend cell setup enabled to assess that even a small mass fraction of silicon in a Si/Gr composite negative electrode can increase significantly the stress (effective C‐rate) of graphite. This effect should be considered if composites with large amounts of silicon are to be developed commercially.

Did Mileva Marić assist Einstein in writing his 1905 path breaking papers? [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
Writers read Einstein's letter to Mari\'c from 1901 in which he wrote: "bringing our work on relative motion to a successful conclusion!" What came afterwards was boosted by a claim that Joffe had seen the original relativity paper manuscript, and that it was signed "Einstein-Marity" (i.e., "Mari\'c"). This drew the attention of some writers to develop

From Einstein's 1905 Postulates to the Geometry of Flat Space-Time

open access: yes, 2004
Minkowski diagrams in 1+1 dimensional flat space-time are given a strictly geometric derivation, directly from two gedanken experiments incorporating the principle of the constancy of the velocity of light and the principle of (special) relativity ...
